Texas Water Mission in Navajoland

On September 12, approximately 90 people gathered at Texas Water Mission’s Wine & Water Dinner to hear the Rt. Reverend Dave Bailey, Episcopal Bishop of Navajoland, speak of an exciting new partnership between the Episcopal Church in Navajoland and the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas, including Texas Water Mission. The Episcopal Church in Navajoland consists of 9 churches in the states of Arizona, New Mexico and Utah.

Many were shocked to hear that approximately 33%, or over 80,000 people living in the Navajoland nation lack accessibility to clean water in their homes. The first project under the new partnership of The Episcopal Church in Navajoland and Texas Water Mission will be to provide water for the church of St. John the Baptizer in Montezuma Creek, Utah.
