Texas Water Mission (TWM) has been providing clean water solutions to communities in need since 2003. Our projects have provided over 50,000 people with water, sanitation and hygiene (also known as WASH) in the form of wells, cisterns and health and hygiene training.

TWM provides oversight, financial support, education, and safe water solutions for communities in need. We do not discriminate based on age, sex, gender, or religion. We are here to serve and love whoever we can.

What we do:

• Determine a best fit safe water solution for a community. This could water well drilling, rain catchment, spring conservation or any other solution that provides clean drinking water.

• Testing and monitoring water quality. We believe every person should have the same standard of water. Our team works to provide our partner communities with clean, safe water.

• EDUCATION! Achieving sustainability of complete water systems after TWM’s installations are completed is a driving force behind our mission. Every partner community is trained about the technology they are given so they can sustain their system for the long term. We also provide education for the women and men on best Health and Hygiene practices. A version appropriate for young people is brought to the communities’ children. At TWM we strongly believe in preparing youth for the future.

We maximize our impact by teaming with numerous partners such as Rotary International (www.rotary.org), who share our commitment to sustainable water resources.  The Texas Water Mission and Rotary Clubs from San Antonio, Texas, and Danli, Honduras, partnered to build eight water wells in the El Paraiso district of Honduras.  In the Honduran village of Guyacan, the TWM/Rotary well transformed a village when a water distribution system built from the well replaced the many hours a day village women spent hauling water everyday.  As a result, the women were free to begin a micro-enterprise business that has allowed them to contribute to their family income and raise their family's standard of living.  This, in turn, has also raised the self-esteem of these women.  All these positive changes started from drilling a water well.
