World Water Day

On March 17, 2022, Texas Water Mission celebrated its first annual World Water Day celebration in conjunction with the San Antonio River Foundation and San Antonio River Authority at the Foundation's award winning Confluence Park.  TWM and local nonprofit organizations including SAWS Conservation Department, Elequa which runs https://www.makewater.org, The Health Collaborative, and Gardening Volunteers of South Texas shared information with the public about local and global water access, safety, conservation, and health.

At the event, runners participating in TWM's 2nd Annual Run4Water picked up their t-shirts and signed in, running along the Mission Reach of the San Antonio River. This "virtual" run can be done by anyone, anywhere, but World Water Day celebration provided an opportunity for local participants to get out and enjoy the river and each other's company and learn something about global water issues.

This year, TWM will join the San Antonio River Foundation and Celebration Circle at Creative Confluence (https://www.celebrationcircle.org/festival) on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 3-6pm. There will be entertainment, food trucks, and activities for all ages. To sign up for the 3rd Annual Run4Water, click the button below.
